Break the Cycle's - SAVOR THE SEASON
Break the Cycle, an organization protecting the rights of teens experiencing dating violence, recently celebrated more than a decade of work with Savor the Season 2007 - a grand tasting gala showcasing Los Angeles' top culinary talents for a night of food and wine, exclusive "tasting experiences," live and silent auctions, music and more.
This year's lineup of chefs included Michael Bryant, Bin 8945; Gautam Chaudhry & Mikel Mark Kim, Tanzore Restaurant & Lounge; Sal Marino, Il Grano; Bijan Shokatfard, Geoffrey's; Jared Simons, Violet; and Suzanne Tracht of Jar, among others.

Rustic Canyon Summer Beer Bash
August 27, 2007 was a great day in beer history. In conjunction with Santa Monica's Rustic Canyon Winebar and Seasonal Kitchen, we hosted a six-course Beer Pairing Dinner, featuring beers from three of the best breweries in Southern California: Craftsman Brewing Company (Pasadena), Telegraph Brewing Company (Santa Barbara), and The Lost Abbey (San Marcos.)
Brian Thompson, owner of Telegraph Brewing Company in Santa Barbara, who was in attendance said, "I've been to a few beer dinners in the past and they were all okay, but nothing like the quality of food and beer at this one. This was the best."
We utlized a great chef (Chef Samir Mohajer) and a fantastic restaurant whose seasonal Farmers' Market-inspired dishes use ingredients that come from local farmers, ranchers, and fishermen who practice sustainable agriculture.
This event was SOLD OUT in two days. A portion of the proceeds were donated to a local charity called Heal the Bay, who fights for workable solutions to the problems threatening Santa Monica Bay and all of Southern California's coastal waters.
