"I met beer sommelier Christina Perozzi and it was like the seas had parted ... Perozzi converted me. Since we met last month, I’ve ordered a beer just about every time I’ve gone out."

"Able to name brews from obscure corners of the planet while discussing yeast cell division with the fermentation science guys from UC Davis, Perozzi is a pioneer in a field mostly
dominated by men."

The Library Bar's specialty beer list, prepared by beer sommelier Christina Perozzi, features 29 local and imported artisanal beers, with seven on tap. This list is designed to provide guests with the highest quality beers with a huge variety of style and regionality that can satisfy almost any flavor profile and palate. As with all clients, this handcrafted list is customized to exclusively fit the Library Bar. In this case, the beers are organized into clever "library" categories for easy navigating, with tasting notes to guide both the experienced and novice drinker. A section entitled "Religion" offers brews made by the famous Belgian Trappist monks, including Chimay, Duvel, and Westmalle. "Epic Novels" feature beers with huge flavor, such as the Delirium Tremens and the Stone Arrogant Bastard. "American Authors" and "English Authors" offer excellent beers from American and English breweries, including Craftsman Brewery in nearby Pasadena and Samuel Smith's in the United Kingdom.
Many clients are concerned that once the mass produced, industrialized "known" beers are replaced by craft and artisanal beers, their guests won't be sure of what beer to order. That problem was solved at the Library Bar with a customized staff training. Christina trained the LIbrary Bar's management and staff, taking them through a "Beer 101" course and providing tasting, history, style and cultural notes for each beer on their now extensive list. Christina instructed the staff on known beer / craft beer parallels and how to sell, up-sell and educate their guests on these great beers.
