Christina Perozzi is gaining a large following as the top female beer expert in Southern California. She was born and raised in St. Louis, Mo., home to the largest beer manufacturer in the world, mega-brewery Anheuser Busch. This irony is not lost on her. Graduating with degrees in Journalism and Speech Communication from Indiana University, Christina realized her affinity for the beer world while managing the famous Father's Office in Santa Monica, Ca.

In August 2006, her love of beer drove her to start her own company as a beer educator, consultant, writer and sommelier. She has written for Gayot.com's Novus Vinum and Draft Magazine, and has been interviewed as an expert for the Los Angeles Times, Patterson's Tasting Panel, Imbibe Magazine, Market Watch and Eating Well.

She was recently featured in Angeleno Magazine, Metromix and KCRW's Good Food; where she and host Evan Kleiman hashed out womens' fear of beer, and was featured in the Los Angeles Times in an article about new professions in the food and beverage industry. She was also featured as "LA's Beer Chick" in the December 2006/January 2007 issue of Celebrator Magazine.

Christina leads beer tastings, teaches seminars and classes, and participates in public and private events - large and small. She also teams with innovative chefs from around Los Angeles to hold Beer Pairing Dinners, most recently with Proprietor Josh Loeb and Chef Samir Mohajer or Rustic Canyon Wine Bar and Seasonal Kitchen and Chef/Owner Jared Simons at Violet Restaurant.  Christina also consults as a beer expert for restaurants hotels and breweries.  She has worked with Craftsman Brewery, Deschutes Brewery, Violet Restaurant, Library Bar, Rustic Canyon, The Otheroom, Tengu Restaurant, Learn About Wine, The Geffen Playhouse, Bottlerock Wine Bar, Wine Warehouse and the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Century City. 

She has her own beer blog at www.christinaperozzi.com, and is contributing to a book about beer for women with fellow beer expert and beer chick Hallie Beaune. Her mission is to dispel many misconceptions that women have about beer, and bring beer to the modern women's dining experience.
